Retrofitting plastic glazing with sun protection film
No matter what kind of plastic window it is, in order to protect yourself effectively from the heat of the sun, a special sun protection film is necessary. This is because plastic glazing expands in summer due to the energy of the sun's rays. A conventional self-adhesive sun protection film would not be able to withstand this expansion permanently. Normal sun protection films cannot expand, which can lead to cracks in the surface of the film after some time when used on plastic glazing. Our special sun protection film has the necessary structure to be able to follow the expansion of the plastic and at the same time not take any damage.
Application examples
This film is often used, for example, on canopies made of Plexiglas panes. These can be canopies of house entrances or terrace roofings that are to protect against rain. This film is also suitable for boat windows or caravan windows, as long as the windows have a flat surface on the outside. This is because this heat protection film must be installed from the outside and can only be curved over one axis.
